Protest

We're organising another protest:

10:30am, Saturday 22nd September
Property Investor Show
ExCeL Exhibition Centre, West podium, West entrance, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL

We will keep this page updated with the latest information please check back before you leave in case important details such as the rendezvous point change.

We have been in contact with the Police and the venue managers, and have been advised that it's legal for us to meet and demonstrate there peacefully.

Getting There

Itinerary

The plan for the protest is to create a large gathering in a prominent place, which will make a good media photo opportunity for Priced Out. The objective is to get across our key messages to the people attending the exhibition and the media. There will hopefully be a strong media presence there that day.

We have put together banners and placards, but will be relying on you to help vocalise your opinions. It is important for the protest to remain well ordered and respectful by not causing disruption to passers by, or those attending the exhibition, as anything else would be counter-productive. In this vein we do not want anyone turning up with megaphones or PA systems, or with offensive placards.

Priced Out will provide a selection of placards that you can pick up at the protest. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own, but we would ask that you run your slogan by us first - volunteer@pricedout.org.uk

Weather - this is the UK so be prepared, bring an umbrella or a waterproof just in case.

The planned schedule is as follows:

10:30am (sharp) - Congregate at the West Podium, West Entrance, ExCeL Exhibition Centre
10:45 - Protesting, meeting the press & presentations
12:00 noon - Disperse

Please allow plenty of time to be there for the start at 10:30am.
