Going around Surrey you would never think that the worst depression since 1929 was underway. SUV drivers grin broadly as they roar around windows down unperturbed by the disasterous results of their over spending. Their vain search for sophisticated good living via showy vulgar materialism continues unabated. It IS kind if irritating. Is this just putting on a bravado face? Or is it intellectually deficient dim wittedness? The 4 million poor struggling on less than £3000 p.a. are marginalised. Rarely mentioned in media broadcasts, Forgotten. Confined to the Inner Cities. However things are happening. A couple of weeks ago they more than most got up to go and vote. And vote they did. But not the result the ignorers would have preferred. It shows-if you manage to pissoff 69,000 people enough you get a candidate you would prefer hadnt won. Of course the cheesy empty headed material spending goes on. They seem perfectly content with 10th rate obscure "private"schools that most public school boys have never heard of. They seem to think that the ready meals on offer in Waitrose and Sainsburys are "satisfying"! With "them"it all seems about not having to be seen in Greggs or Morrissons. Or the local fish and chip shop.It all about "appearences".the car,the suit, the "lifestyle". The problem is the rest of the world including the Oil producing world just doesnt care. UK is a small economic region about 10th the size of Texas and what loonatics aor fools wish to delude themselves therein does not matter much to the Billionaire Emirates or Southern texas trillionaires. So they continue to waste their money on bad books, silly games, useless hunks of tin and steel, rotten houses, cheap holidays desperately struggling to emulate the "Celebrity"lifestyle... But its a losing battle. The world is against them. Big slice of humble pie anybody?
