Unfortunately the expression of "distasteful"harsh realities from an underdog viewpoint is often shunned. That however does not make them any more unreal. There is a considerable tradition in Great Britain of the badly housed and the underpriveleged taking a strong interest in the more radical forms of politics solution in our land. Not perhaps surprisingly. The unfortunate unemployed worker of the 1930s,1950s and our own decade and the under class member has always found solace in doctrines of nationalism to name but one creed. Picture if you will the near desperate Inner city Garrat dweller or Slum Tenement occupier facing the very poorest and worst housing with little chance of progress? Is it not surprising that they take to reading "dubious"literature? Is it not understandable that in their black night they turn to "strong men" willing to offer them instant solutions to their not inconsiderable woes? Do they not find the mass meeting, the loud haranguing, the clenched fist banged down on the lecturn more to their taste and predicament than wimpy mealy mouthed platitudes of the well heeled in the leafy suburbs who continually talk about action but never do anything? Yes we can indeed understand that the predicament facing 7 perhaps 8 millions of our fellow citizens is indeed a dark one. Do not be surprised.
