Tell Grant Shapps to reverse the Cockfosters car park decision!

We are calling on Transport Secretary Grant Shapps to reverse his decision to block the Cockfosters car park development.
Transport for London had proposed to build 351 flats for rent, including 132 affordable homes, on the site. This would:
- Ease London’s desperate housing crisis
- Reduce traffic and pollution in London by providing transport accessible, environmentally friendly homes
- Provide an alternative income source for TfL, reducing pressure on fares for commuters
The plans were approved by local Enfield councillors, but in an unprecedented action, the Secretary of State intervened using an obscure legislative clause. This is not only a terrible decision for housing need and for the environment, it is a direct contradiction of local democracy.
Please sign our position to call on Grant Shapps to allow the Cockfosters car park development!
